Self-dispensing wine is novel...get there during happy hour to take advantage! Tony's Both were very good, but the creme brulee was our favorite. The minted lamb meatballs were delicious as well. A co-worker of mine told me about this place and it didn't disappoint. I would recommend both as tasty vegetarian options. The service can be great and not great, only thing standing between a four and five star rating.They offer valet parking because parking can be a pain in the area.
If you haven't tried it yet, happy hour (Monday through Friday, 2-6:30 p.m.) is the perfect time to sidle up to their sleek, modern bar. I was so startled by the pounding that I almost wrecked my car. Sunday - Friday, 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. & half off bottles of wine on sundays (excludes reserve wine) in the bar. I tried the Pork Belly app at Houston Restaurant Week last year and it was far too sweet for me to really enjoy. That being said, I go to Crisp regularly for the expansive beer selection, and I am sure I will find my go-to dish eventually. Cool ambience - laid back. The restaurant is neatly tucked in the neighborhood and there is plenty of self-parking. The Classic I went here for a happy hour and had the Taleggio Florentine pizza and the Crispy Chick Pea Cake. Efficient and we appreciated the team spirit to serve the customers.Hard to explain but they have a very interesting way to try wines by different size of pour (priced to size if pour) I'll try that next time as it looked like a great way to try sample nice wines without having a full pour. I have tried many many items on the menu, and the goat cheese marinara appetizer with Drunken Garlic Bread (Sounds weird, just try it!) The Chuck You BBQ was a great bite--beer can chicken, smoked gouda, red onions and Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. Crisp has some generous happy hour specials depending on which day you go; that plus the good wine/beer selections and yummy pizza keep us coming back. They also offer a nice selection of wines, beers and house cocktails for half off. We had the crab bisque and pork belly to start.
